Doug Moore's connection to land began long before real estate — it started on his family's farm in the Piedmont of North Carolina. Raised around hard work, responsibility, and respect for the land, Doug learned early that land is more than property; it represents legacy, livelihood, and opportunity.

Before entering real estate, Doug owned and operated a landscape and grading company, performing site work and grading for residential and commercial developments throughout central North Carolina. That hands-on experience — reading topography, understanding drainage, and seeing how raw land gets developed from the ground up — gives him a perspective most agents simply don't have. When Doug walks a tract, he's not just thinking about price per acre. He's evaluating the land itself: its slope, soil, access, and potential.

That same foundation carries forward through his own family today. Doug and his wife, Terri, are raising their daughter, Maci, with the values that shaped him — honesty, work ethic, and a deep appreciation for the outdoors. Family is central to everything Doug does, and that perspective directly influences how he serves his clients.

Whether working with generational landowners, families navigating inherited property, or buyers looking to build their future, Doug understands that land decisions are rarely just financial. They are personal, often tied to history, emotion, and long-term impact. He approaches every transaction with patience, care, and respect — never rushing decisions and always putting his clients' best interests first.

Doug's passion for the outdoors extends well beyond the office. An accomplished hunter with experience across North America and beyond, he has completed the Turkey World Slam and multiple Turkey Grand Slams, taken multiple whitetail deer eligible for the Pope & Young Record Books, and is just a few species away from completing his North American Waterfowl Slam. These pursuits have taken him across diverse landscapes and ecosystems, giving him firsthand knowledge of habitat, land management, and wildlife patterns — and a clear understanding of what makes recreational property truly valuable. That knowledge doesn't just make him a better hunter; it makes him a more informed and credible advisor when evaluating hunting tracts, timber land, and rural acreage.

Outside of hunting, Doug enjoys motocross, photography, and time with his family. These passions keep him genuinely connected to the land and enhance his ability to understand and market recreational and rural properties authentically.
